A species of ants have people on the U.S. Gulf Coast saying they just want their fire ants back. HLN reports a new strand of “crazy” ants from South America are replacing the fire ants which invaded the U.S. in the 1930s. The new ants do not respond to the typical poisons, so a professional pest control operator is required to keep a house infestation under control. The ants only advance 1/8 mile each year.moreless
