Ross Stores Fined $3.9 Million For Selling Defective Clothing
AIRED:
HLN says Ross Stores is being fined $3.9 million for failing to report they were selling defective clothing with drawstrings. The Consumer Product Safety Commission warned stores about the dangers of clothing with drawstrings since 1996. The New York Times says the clothing Ross Stores sold hasn’t caused any deaths, but 26 children have died from drawstring-related incidents since 1985. The Ross Stores’ fine is the second largest penalty given by the Consumer Product Safety Commission.moreless
