Using Melatonin to Put Children to Sleep Could Be Dangerous
AIRED:
Despite growing in popularity over the past few years, the trend of using melatonin to put a child to sleep could actually be a dangerous one. “Fox & Friends” spoke with Dr. David Samadi, who said he doesn’t recommend the supplement. Sales of melatonin in the last few years went from $90 million to $260 million. Melatonin is not regulated by the FDA, and some children also have adverse affects to the pill. Other children, however, do just fine while taking it and sleep better at night.moreless
