    • The song that is played when Rock Lee and Tenten are under the barrel, "Fooling Mode", was only played in Konoha until this episode.

  • Quotes

    • Lee: I've never been one for skulking around in the shadows.
Tenten: Will you shut your trap? You're going to blow our cover.

    • Tenten: Same as ever, huh?
Lee: Patience has never been his strong suit, no question.

    • Naruto: Hey, are those friends of yours who got knocked out going to be alright?
Sumaru: Don't worry about it, okay.
      Naruto: Huh?
Sumaru: You're outsiders, it's none of your concern. Now quit acting like we're friends.
Naruto: That guy's a real piece of work.

    • Akahoshi: What? Someone made off with the star?
Sumaru: Yes. There were people training there when it happened, but the enemy knocked them out with some sort of jutsu.
      Akahoshi: That's pathetic!
Naruto: You wouldn't say that if you'd seen the chakra this guy was throwin' around!
Lee: Was he truly that impressive a foe then?
Naruto: Yeah, he was forming wings and beasts out of chakra. I've never seen anything like it.
      Akahoshi: Is this true, Sumaru?
Sumaru: Yes. Ninja Art: Kujaku, no doubt about it.

    • Shizune: Our records show that particular form of training has been suspended for ten years now.
Tsunade: After the Third Hoshikage came to power, he chose to put an end to it. But then, a year ago, he passed away, sadly, and the village lifted the ban.
Shizune: It's curious, isn't it? I wonder what moved him to forbid it.
Tsunade: Hard to say. Only the Village Hidden in the Stars is privy to that. Although, there have been a few rumors on the wind.
      Shizune: What do you mean?
Tsunade: Well, details are spotty but most of the ninja who underwent the training, died from it.

    • Shizune: So the star their village was founded on, this says it's actually a meteorite?
Tsunade: That's right. It dates back to the First Hoshikage who established the village. He discovered that by training in close proximity to the star, his chakra was strengthened. Ever since then, they've held a unique position among the hidden villages.

    • Neji: Naruto was correct.
Lee: Using chakra to take to the air? That is a formidable shinobi!
Tenten: Wow, so it was true.
Naruto: Well, of course it was true. What are you saying, that you didn't believe me?
      Tenten: Pretty much.
Naruto: Wha?! Huh?! Gee, thanks for the vote of confidence, Tenten.

    • Lee: There was a distress call from the training room. What in the world happened out here?
Naruto: Bad news guys, the star was stolen. It was a ninja and he flew off using chakra somehow.
      Lee: You actually saw this?
Tenten: Yeah, but shinobi can't fly, not that I've ever heard.

    • Sumaru's Lullaby:

Natsuhiboshi, why are you so red?
Because I had a sad dream last night.
My eyes are red, from the tears I shed,
      Swollen as I cried.

Natsuhiboshi, why've you lost your way?
I'm searching for a child whose gone afar.
He can't be found though I searched all day,
My sad dreams come once more.

    • Lee: Creeping, creeping.
Tenten: Will you stop saying that?!

    • Neji: Calm yourself! That canyon is full of poisonous gas.
Naruto: Okay... Maybe you got a point.

    • Tenten: You ding-dong! We're on a surveillance mission here.

    • Naruto: Now that's good! Go on, dig in. The food's not going to eat itself.

    • Akahoshi: Hold up... First things first. We need to to distract these annoying little flies.

    • Naruto: Man, that guy is about as warn as a iceberg.

    • Naruto: I'll be on Sumaru like fleas on a dog.

    • Lee: Well, where there is smoke, there is fire. An inside job then?

    • Naruto: Let go! Let go I say!
      Neji: Calm down!

    • Lee: It seems that this village has a secret.
      Tenten: It seems that way.

      ~Japanese version

    • Tenten: Follow me obediently.
      Lee: But!
      Tenten: That's an order

      ~Japanese version

    • Hokuto: I'm sorry, I got ahead of myself.
Naruto: Other villages... Man, you guys are really cold.

      ~Japanese version

    • Naruto: He's cold-hearted as usual...

      ~Japanese version

    • Tenten: Same as always.
Lee: Naruto's always impatient, isn't he?

      ~Japanese version

    • Sumaru: You guys are outsiders. You're not comrades or anything like that.
      Naruto: What's with him?

      ~Japanese version

    • Naruto: Are the ones taken out by that ninja all right?
Sumaru: That's none of your concern.

      ~Japanese version

    • Neji: We will definitely retrieve the star.

      ~Japanese version

    • Naruto: That ninja's chakra was amazing!
Lee: Was it really that amazing, Naruto?
Naruto: Yeah! Turning chakra into smoke and feathers, it was the first time I've seen something like that!

      ~Japanese version

    • Tsunade: Due to the unknown nature of the star, it forcibly strengthens one's chakra. It probably causes negative effects on their bodies.

      ~Japanese version

    • Naruto: I said it was true! You mean you didn't believe me?
      Tenten: Guess not.
Naruto: What's with that? Am I that untrustworthy?

      ~Japanese version

    • Lee: But, it seems like this is going against my ninja arts.
      Tenten: Don't complain.
      Lee: Sneakily.
      Tenten: Enough with sneakily!

      ~Japanese version

    • Sumaru's Lullaby:

Why is the summer star red?
Last night, I had a sad dream.
I was crying and talking, with red eyes.

Why has the summer star lost its way?
      I know such childish stories.
That's why I have such sad dreams.

      ~Japanese version

    • Tenten: Somehow he pisses you off, doesn't he?

      ~Japanese version
