Rabbi Jerry Fisher was born in Chicago and came to Los Angeles as a teenager. He graduated from Hamilton High School and then UCLA with a degree in Psychology. While completing his Bachelor of Hebrew Letters degree at the California School of the Hebrew Union College, he served as student-rabbi of Temple Solael in Canoga Park. Following a year of study at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, Rabbi Fisher completed his Rabbinic training at the Hebrew Union College in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1964 and served several Congregations in that area.moreless
