Cinemassacre is James Rolfe's (The Angry Video Game Nerd) movie review show. Rolfe writes and produces every episode by himself. Through his style, tone, and attention to detail, it's obvious that he is, at his core, a fan. This is a regular guy who loves watching movies. Unlike The Angry Video Game Nerd, in which video games are ripped apart and ridiculed, Cinemassacre is calm, composed, and thoughtful, even when he doesn't like what's happening on the screen. The movies he reviews are not upcoming releases. Most are from the 70's and 80's, which means Rolfe is talking about the films of his childhood. It also means that he has 20+ years of opinions built up. He's going to tell you all about them, and you're going to love it. The amount of insight and comedy he is able to bring to these oft-discussed classics is staggering.moreless

Drunk History is a web series on Funny Or Die created by Derek Waters and directed by Jeremy Konner, in which drunk people re-tell significant historic events, which are shown re-enacted by professional actors dressed in period costume, including Jack Black, Michael Cera, Danny McBride, and Don Cheadle, among others. The re-telling often includes profanity, drunken slurring, and hiccups, and the person narrates what's happening in the re-enactment. The re-enactment also follows the drunk person's synopsis exactly so sometimes the historical figures dialogue is unusual and comical. Some of the historical events covered have been about Abraham Lincoln and Fredrick Douglass discussion of slavery, the story of Alexander Hamilton's duel with Aaron Burr, ninth president William Henry Harrison, Nikola Tesla, a significant figure in the history of technology, sailing to America to meet Thomas Edison, and Ben Franklin discovering electricity. The series is now featured on HBO's comedy sketch show, Funny Or Die Presents.moreless

Jake and Amir is a comedy segment from CollegeHumor based on the minds of staff writers Jake Hurwitz and Amir Blumenfeld. Started in 2007, the duo is featured in short improvisational skits on the CollegeHumor website. The characters of Jake and Amir are caricatures of their real-life personas, Jake Hurwitz and Amir Blumenfeld. The two play on each other's personality, with Jake acting as the stalwart logical counterpart to Amir's outrageous actions and often-nonsensical dialogue. Amir is a lot more enthusiastic their special 'friendship' than Jake, who is forced into the relationship because of the proximity of their desks. They may not be best friends as Amir believes, but in the end opposites attract and the two find a way to coexist. Jake and Amir are not the only sketch group from CollegeHumor, but are certainly its most recognized and prolific, posting a new hilarious video every few days. The comedy team also started its own blog, JakeAndAmir.com. Join Jake Hurwitz and Amir Blumenfeld, CollegeHumor staff writers, for their uproarious sketch comedy series Jake and Amir.moreless

Hidden Frontier is set after the Dominion War featured in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. When Rob Caves, Executive Producer created Hidden Frontier, he wanted to combine the best elements of the Next Generation era Trek shows he grew up with. On Hidden Frontier, we have a space station, Deep Space Twelve, as well as a starship, the Galaxy Class U.S.S. Excelsior, NCC-77246. This allows us to explore the Star Trek universe in just about any way our writers can imagine. The series is set against the backdrop of the Briar Patch, a massive unexplored nebula on the fringe of explored space that was introduced in "Star Trek: Insurrection". Because of the composition of the Patch, warp travel there is impossible, so much of it's interior remains unexplored. We encourage new viewers to "try us out" with our season 6 premiere episode, "Countermeasures". It's an episode that highlights many of our strengths. Then we welcome you to go back to the pilot and start watching from the beginning bearing in mind that it took us time to improve the quality of all aspects of the show to what it is today. It's important to remember that Hidden Frontier is produced on no budget so instead of building fancy sets, piling on effects, and shooting in exotic locations, we've decided to focus on what we can improve. That means our stories became more character driven as the show evolved. After all, that's what Star Trek is really about. The people, and the human condition. Once the writing improved, we started to tackle areas like costuming and makeup. Hidden Frontier tries to boldly follow what has come before while exploring new issues Star Trek has not yet tackled. The inclusion of a gay male character in season 2's "Encke" was yet another bold step forward for Star Trek. In the very same season we produced, "Cowards Death", a story that explored the realities of living with clinical depression.moreless

In Web Therapy, Lisa Kudrow plays Fiona Wallice, a comically self-centered therapist with some less than traditional ideas about her profession, conducting her 3-minute psychotherapy sessions from the convenience and safety of an iChat window. In many cases, Fiona is obviously more interested in dealing with her own issues in these short web-cam therapy sessions, often derailing progress with her patients in favor of discussing her own financial woes or disintegrating marriage. Each episode is highly improvised, and punctuated with high profile guest stars: Alan Cumming guest stars as a Richard Branson-inspired business tycoon, Selma Blair takes a turn as a surrogate mother who's in it for all the wrong reasons, and fellow "Friends" alum Courtney Cox reunites with Kudrow to play a psychic who ends up counseling the counselor. Other guest stars for this show include Molly Shannon, Jane Lynch, Mike McDonald, Bob Balaban, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus. Originally produced as a series of webisodes, Web Therapy is now a series on Showtime.moreless

True Blood Webisodes are a series of mini episodes to accompany and lead up to season 3 of HBO's True Blood, based on the Sookie Stackhouse books, where Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) and the other citizens of Bon Temps, Louisiana interact with vampires and other extraordinary creatures. As fans will know, Sookie is in a relationship with vampire Bill Compton, which her friends and family have mixed feelings about, particularly when other vampires who are new to the community aren't quite as charming. The appearance of one kind of inhuman creature seems to trigger the arrival of all sorts of other beings, with Sookie at the center as a result of her mind-reading abilities. The webisodes don't give away plot points, nor are they necessarily from the past or future of the show, but the vignettes offer an extra glimpse into the featured character's personality, with webisodes featuring Eric (Alexander Skarsgard), Jessica (Deborah Ann Woll), Lafayette (Nelsan Ellis), Sam (Sam Trammell), Bill (Stephen Moyer), and Jason (Ryan Kwanten).moreless
