Penn Says

Show Summary

Penn Says is the official podcast from magician, comedian, and writer Penn Jillette. The highly opinionated and always entertaining illusionist pulls no punches as a covers a number of different topics, ranging from atheism, music, and...bowel movements? In one of the more revealing podcasts, Jilette discusses his infamous "Nail Gun Trick." More specifically, how he changed elements of the trick so it wouldn't seem like he was lying outright to the audience. During the podcast, Penn reveals he isn't a fan of magic tricks that look too dangerous. He weighs in on the more sensational magicians such as Criss Angel and David Blaine who blur the line between what is morally responsible and irresponsible to show to members of the audience. In 2009, the show was nominated for two Webby Awards: Best Reality Show, and Best Reality/Variety Show Host. Penn Says ended its run on Sony's crackle.com during December of the same year.
