France Gay Marriage Protest Violence
AIRED:
Napoleon's tomb in Paris is shrouded in tear gas as French police prepare to charge rioting protesters at the end of a demonstration against gay marriage. About 200 people fought running battles with police. The clashes erupted after most of the 150, 000 opponents of same-sex marriage had gone home. Four and half thousand police were on duty for the rally. A day before the event the French interior minister warned protesters not to bring children along because of the risk of violence.moreless
