A record-setting heat wave continued to roast China's eastern commercial hub of Shanghai on Wednesday (August 7), as temperatures climbed above 40 degrees celsius (104 degrees fahrenheit). Wednesday is the second consecutive day in which Shanghai temperatures have passed the 40 degrees Celsius mark, the meteorological bureau said.
