Silence Speaks Loud in Turkey
AIRED:
Anti-government protests in Turkey are becoming increasingly creative. Hundreds turned out to stand in silence in Istanbul's Taksim Square again on Wednesday. It's in stark contrast to the often violent scenes between police and protesters. The numbers in Taksim Square have been growing steadily since Monday when a lone performance artist inspired the silent, static, tactic. Protesters out in force on Wednesday used the event to mark the four people killed during the past weeks.moreless
