Spider-Woman, Agent of S.W.O.R.D.

Show Summary

Spider-Woman, Agent of S.W.O.R.D. is a motion comic series developed from Marvel Comics's Secret Invasion and New Avengers series, written by Brian Michael Bendis and drawn by Alex Maleev, which follows the return of Jessica Drew, an Avenger with super strength, endurance, reflexes, and speed as well as bioelectric venom blasts. Having been abducted by the Skrulls, Jessica deals with the bitterness and betrayal of finding out her identity was taken and used as part of the horrid Skrull invasion. When the director of S.W.O.R.D., Abigail Brand, offers her a chance to work for them hunting down loose Skrull imposters, Jessica takes it as a chance to flex her powers while gaining some semblance of revenge on the species that set to ruin her life. As she tries to take on the Skrull posing as Spider-Man, Spider-Woman has to face the diabolical organization of HYRDRA, the new Thunderbolts, and the suspicions of her teammates in the New Avengers. Spider-Woman was adapted by Marvel Comics's new graphic way of storytelling, holding onto the panel-by-panel style but with the addition of moving graphics, sounds, and explosive dynamics.
