Stephen King's N

Show Summary

Stephen King's N is an animated web original presented by novelist Stephen King and based on his horror novella, "N." The story focuses mostly around Dr. John Bonsaint, a psychiatrist who has been deeply affected by a patient he refers to only as "N." N believes that there is a circle of stones in town that leads to reality unlike ours where a horrifying creature named Cthun lives. N tells John that Cthun is trying to break free of his reality to join ours. John diagnoses N with obsessive-compulsive disorder and puts no weight in N's ramblings. However, once N commits suicide, John begins to suffer the same symptoms his dead patient. Perhaps N wasn't so crazy after all. Stephen King's N is a series of short videos that pays homage to comic book art and graphics. Alex Maleev and colorist José Villarrubia are responsible for the art of the episodes, and actors such as Ben Shenkman offer their voices to bring "N" to life. The first episode was first available online in July of 2008, and it was produced by Scribner, Simon and Schuster Digital, CBS Mobile, and Marvel Entertainment. Although many of the author's novels and novellas have been made into films in the past, such as Tommyknockers, Thinner, Carrie, Christine, The Stand, Misery and The Shining, Stephen King's N brings his work to the Internet for the technologically minded new generation.
