We totally swooned over I’m Here, Creator Spike Jonze’s short film about a touching-yet-troubled romance between two robots that we screened at all of our events this summer as we launched The Creators Project with blowout parties around the globe. It made us all nostalgic over our own past loves — the good, and the bad, and the ugly — and we couldn’t help but start reminiscing. Apparently, people all over the world felt the same way.moreless

in this episode of The Creators Project, we discuss the impressive and artistic career of director, producer, and overall creative Midas, Spike Jonze. From his start in music videos, to his latest project, "I'm Here," Spike Jonze has inspired audiences with his visionary style. "I'm Here," the story of robots co-existing in today's society, is one of Jonze's personal projects that he plans on releasing one city at a time, gathering audience feedback with the intention of incorporating the journey into a final product that will be released at large. "I'm Here" is meant to reflect the lives that so many young people experience when living in LA in their early 20s - they're poor, they're wandering, they have no scene to call their home. All of this reflected through the eyes of one young robot, who upon meeting a female bot, learns to come out of his shell and see the world around him in a new way. Phoenix is a group of four sharp dressed, smooth-tongued Frenchmen who have come to resurrect modern pop-rock from the throes of boredom. They started out as a garage band in the suburbs of Paris and they later went on to back their friends and fellow countrymen in the band AIR. They released the debut album "United" in 2000, and what followed has been a decade of cacophonous word-of-mouth fandom. Their progressive, synth-pop symphonies showed up in films like Sofia Coppola's "Lost in Translation" and, as of this year, on a Best Alternative Grammy award for the album "Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix". Inspired by fluorescent artist Dan Flavin, their current touring show is all about changing the blood chemistry of the audience through pure, pulsating light.moreless
