The Envelope, Please

Show Summary

The Envelope, Please is a video web blog produced by The New York Times featuring high school seniors detailing their experiences as they go through the college admissions and financial aid process. The New York Times created this blog as a way to demystify the college admissions process and aid underclassmen with information they can put to use in the future. The content of the show is completely created using the written and video blogs of six select students from around the country. Students from places that range from Los Angeles to New York City detail their experiences, including an announcement of how many applications they have sent out thus far. A few topics covered by the students in the series include the difficulty with staying motivated to finish senior year, the importance of time management, and first impressions from various campus tours. The series comes to an end each season with word of whether the six students did or did not get accepted to the college of their dreams.
