The Making of "The Prisoner" (2009)

Show Summary

The Making of & The Prisoner (2009) is a series of web videos presented by AMC prior to the series debut of the hit mini-series. During the video clips, cast members and crew discuss the behind-the-scenes action taking place to make the series as successful as possible. The plot of The Prisoner deals with a man who initially wakes up lost in a village. Then, without his approval, the town leader tries to assimilate him into their culture. A number of creative decisions were made before going to air, including finding the right area to film in the country of Namibia and getting the go-ahead to build and destroy parts of it as shown in the film. In addition to a lengthy interview with lead actor Jim Caveziel, the video shorts also show a lighter side to the mini-series as crew explains some high-end visual effects, and a stunt man shows off his moves in the new Subaru Impreza that Caveziel's character drives in the film.
