Niles asks Maxwell if his British accent really sounds fake. It is indeed a fake accent as Daniel Davis originates from Arkansas. It is however not an accent that easily comes off as fake. In fact many viewers from the UK wrote in criticizing Charles Shaughnessy for his "fake" accent and suggested he get help from Daniel Davis. The cast got a kick out of this because, as stated before, Daniel Davis' accent is the real fake one.
