A blustery day in Lander, Wyoming pushed the clouds out of the sky setting the stage for perfect meteor shower viewing conditions. Three employees from NOLS, the National Outdoor Leadership School, spent the night camping in Red Canyon, Wyoming.Armed with three cameras and enough coffee to fuel the entire town of Lander, Kyle, Brian, and William pointed their lenses toward the western and southern sky to capture the Perseid Meteor Shower. This video is a compilation of what was captured.NOLS currently has 367 students in wilderness locations around the world. We are sure they all had amazing front row seats to this year's natural fireworks display.Lessons Learned:1. Meteor Shower photography is a lot like fishing. You wait around for long periods of time and try to get lucky. 2. There could always be more coffee.3. It's nice to have a spare camera around for "light-writing" to pass the time.moreless
