Pianist, composer, and band director Robert Glasper's musical presence has been felt in the record industry for well over a decade. The Houston, Texas native's unique blending of straight ahead jazz, soul, hip-hop, and avant-garde is what make's his music so unique.The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music graduate was classmates with R & B vocalist Bilal, whose performed and recorded with off and on for the last 10 years.
