(Un)Dead Seriously is a humorous web series or "mockumentary" that the creators refer to as a "zombicomedocumentary," which was originally created to fill a gap in programming for Northwestern University's broadcast channel. The show focuses on a fictional group of college students who just happen to be zombies and the humorous situations that ensue. (Un)Dead Seriously began airing on May 23rd, 2009 and over sixteen episodes have now been released. Four more are in production and an equal number are in pre-production status. (Un)Dead Seriously is not only about college students, it's created by them as well. All the writers (sixteen in total), producers and cast are comprised of students from a broad range of background and degree concentrations. The producers also pull in extras from the Chicago area. Paul Foryt and B. Makoa Kawabata, both students at Northwestern University, were responsible for creating the (Un)Dead Seriously series, and are heavily involved in production, filming and casting.
