ViewChange is an online channel that features stories of people in third world countries who, in unique ways, fight poverty, disease and other human plights. Each episode focuses on a particular person or group and their unique efforts towards progress and global development. In Kandahar Treasure, Malian women use their artistic skill to help eliminate West African poverty. Garbage Dreams focuses on the efforts of a group of garbage workers who are able to recycle almost all the trash that they process. Another episode, First Generation, gives viewers an inside look at doctors who work with AIDS survivors in Romania. More highlights from the channel show how railway cars are renovated in Bangkok to shelter and educate homeless youth, how a Malian entrepreneur routes electricity to remote areas in need, and how Ethiopian women earn their independence by making cobblestones. The short films run from just under three minutes to over five minutes in length.
