Vincent Moon is an independent filmmaker from Paris, creator of the Take Away Shows project, and contributor to La Blogotheque. Moon began taking photos at 18 and switched to video camera after discovering the work of Peter Tscherkassky. Moon is especially interested in the relationship between images and sound and his projects always involve music and are often distributed for free on the internet. In 2006, Moon created the Take Away Shows project, a video podcast for La Blogotheque featuring musicians performing outdoors in unusual locations. As part of this series and through his lo-fi videos, movie-essays, and documentaries, Moon has worked with hundreds of artists including REM, Sufjan Stevens, Spoon, The National, Arcade Fire, Beirut, Grizzly Bear, Vampire Weekend, Animal Collective, and Mogwai.moreless
