Hmm, blogs might, since they are integrated with all three sites (Gamespot, MP3, and tv.com).

Anything you post on Gamespot will not rank up your level on TV.com. However, blog posts you write on Gamespot will level up your TV.com account as long as you log onto tv.com after writing it. (in my experience anyway)

If you post blogs, reviews and forum posts on GameSpot, it'll ONLY increase your score for GS ONLY. Same thing for MP3.com and Tv.com.

You are right with the exception of BLOGS. Your blogs at Gamespot will help your TV.com level if you log in this site sometimes However, the ammount of points given by the blogs is really small, so don't expect a big update. Reviews and forum posts at GameSpot won't affect your level here.

And you have more points Here by submitting submissions about Show/Actors, so your score increase faster on TV.com than anyother site.

For some reason when I'm on TV.com for a least an hour editing my shows my level goes up on Gamespot 2 or 3 points a day. I don't write in my blog much so it's not from that. I must say that the reverse does not happen. No matter how long I'm on Gamespot my level does not increase here unless I post in my blog.

I rarely ever (about once a month) use Gamespot. Early on I used it a bit and got myself to Level 4. I've been at Level 4 ever since the start of the New Year, so blogs count for very little on the other sites.

I don't think they count at all.

Do stuff and you will increase your level. Contribute to shows (once you reach Level 2) and you will also get Contribution Points (CP's) which also add to your level. It is easier to move up levels at the lower numbers than it is at the 50+ levels.

What exactly can I do to reach a higher level? I want to submit trivia etc

Do I have to log out and in in order for the points to accumulate?

No; I'm pretty sure that they change at a set time daily. However, you need to be level 2 to submit edits for guides. Some quick ways to become level 2 are to post blogs, write reviews, favorite shows, and post in forums.

Posting stuff on GS will pretty much only up your level on GS. Over there if you log in daily without doing anything else then you will level up anyway. That's all I do and I'm level 20 now. If you're wondering about blogs then it's much simpler to just post them from tv.com as you'll get a better level update (at the lower levels) here than you would at GS anyway.

The levels update around midday in the UK (whatever the time conversion is to the US). If you open and close your preferences around that time then it will update your level quicker than if you let it do it manually, which can be anything up to a couple of hours later.
