Eric Cord comes home to his apartment to find his roommate and best friend, Ted, loading a gun with silver bullets. Ted confesses to Eric that he is a werewolf, and that he is responsible for a series of brutal killings in the area. Ted wants to end his own life, but he doesn't believe that he is strong enough to do it, so he asks Eric to help him. Eric doesn't believe until the pentagram appears on Ted's palm and starts to bleed. Ted transforms into a huge werewolf and goes after Eric. Despite his love for his friend, Eric has no choice but to shoot him. Eric later discovers that he has been bitten and infected with the curse. Using the information that Ted gave to him, he skips bail to search for Janos Skorzeny, the progenitor of the werewolf bloodline. If he can find and kill Skorzeny, then the curse will be lifted. Meanwhile, the bail bondsman has hired a bounty hunter named Rogan to find Eric, and he's closing in...

Eric catches up with Skorzeny at the docks. He finds a gun and has silver bullets made, then lies in wait in Skorzeny's boat. Meanwhile, Rogan isn't far behind.

A young boy, fascinated with monsters and whose mother is having problems with her boyfriend. nurses Eric back to health after he is shot by Alamo Joe.

Eric Cord looks for Janos Skorzeny at a shipping wharf. In a bar he meets Otto Renfield who claims to be an old friend of Skorzeny who used to sail with him. He offers to show Eric some of Skorzeny's things. Renfield takes Eric to his ship, an old rusty freighter in a ship wrecking yard. Otto tells Eric an old story about how he and Skorzeny once tried to mug a man while out on shore leave. Unfortunately for the two of them, the man had a knife. Otto tells how he was stabbed and then abandoned by Skorzeny. He reveals that he eventually lost his leg to gangrene from his injuries. Otto offers to give Skorzeny's address to Eric. He leads him into the brig where he keeps an old see chest. As Eric goes to open the chest, Otto locks the door trapping him in the cell. As Otto taunts Eric, he begins to transform into a Werewolf. Even as a Werewolf, however, Eric cannot get out of the cage. The next day Eric remains locked in the cell. Otto returns and gives him a change of clothes. He tells Eric that Skorzeny is coming and leaves after Eric tries to ask him why he is helping Skorzeny. Later when Otto returns he is surprised to find Eric missing. He figures out that Eric crawled into a vent and tells him that there is no way out since the vent ends after only eight feet. Eric comes out and sees Otto holding a gun on him. Otto tells him the gun has silver bullets. Eric backs off. Later Otto asks him why Eric why he is hunting Skorzeny. Eric tells him that he wants to kill him. Eric asks Otto more about Skorzeny. Otto tells him that while they were shipmates they'd always head to the roughest ports so that no one would bother them when Skorzeny wanted to kill somebody. Eric learns that Skorzeny is much older than he thought. Otto tells Eric that he reminds him of one of his older shipmates who was killed by Skorzeny. Skorzeny made him clean up the mess and get rid of the body. Otto reveals to Eric that he hung around with Skorzeny because he wanted to be a Werewolf too. He wanted immortality and power. He tells him that he begged Skorzeny to make him a werewolf. Skorzeny just laughed at him. Eric figures out that Otto really wants to kill Skorzeny. That is why he has a gun with silver bullets. Otto leaves and heads to his room when Janos arrives. Janos wants Cord. Otto tells him that Eric escaped, Skorzeny doesn't believe him. Skorzeny transforms and attacks him. In the brig Cord can here the screams. He sees the brig's keys on a table. Unfortunately they are just out of reach. Skorzeny heads for the while Eric finds a coat hanger. He stretches it to get the keys. He escapes before Skorzeny reaches the brig to kill him. Later Eric searches the ship with a crowbar. He finds Otto wounded and bleeding. Otto asks to die. Eric takes the gun with silver bullets and shoots him.

A college professor, who is an expert on werewolves and has written several books on the subject, thinks that Eric is a bit crazy when Eric comes to him for help.

Eric takes a job at a hunting lodge and ends up caught in the middle of a deadly feud.

A witch who is trying to help Eric is interrupted in her efforts by a man who blames the death of his son on one of her potions.

Eric's job at a small town cafe is threatened by the arrival of Alamo Joe and a biker gang that is out to have some fun.

Eric is convinced that Skorzeny is responsible for the killings of some hunters in a small town and not Bigfoot like the townspeople think.

Eric's finds shelter in a monastery where he believes Skorzeny is responsible for several bizarre killings which occurred there.

Alamo Joe finally catches up with Eric in a small town jail, but a confrontation between the two leaves Joe in the hospital and Eric apparently dead in the hospital morgue.

Alamo Joe fears that he may have been bitten by a werewolf, meanwhile there are rumblings at the morgue where Eric's 'dead' body is temporarily housed.

Eric is blamed for the brutal slayings of several prostitutes whom Skorzeny has killed.

On Halloween, Eric meets a disfigured man who hides himself in an old allegedly ‘haunted' house were Eric has taken up temporary residence.

Taking a job with the railroad, Eric befriends a former prize fighter who is on the run from the mob. However, involvement by the pair in a bar-room brawl draws the mob's attention to the man.

Eric confronts an ancient she-wolf bent on revenge when his travels take him to a run down hotel with unusual happenings and residents.

A rancher comes after Eric when he befriends a she-wolf who earlier had attacked the rancher.

Members of a rich quarrelling family try to pin the blame for a relative's death on Eric.

Eric is kidnapped by a critically ill Southern politican who wants Eric to save his life and make him immortal by turning him into a werewolf.

Eric is stranded by a thunderstorm in a house with six other people who are being killed off one by one.

Alamo Joe is Eric's only hope of stopping a psycho disguised as a cop who tried to bury Eric alive and killed several other youths in a similar fashion.

An old Indian medicine man tells Eric of a way to get rid of the werewolf's curse, however several deaths in his tribe caused by the mythical skinwalker may prevent Eric from being cured.

Skorzeny has apparently been killing a band of hobos who Eric meets when he jumps a train.

Eric catches up with Skorzeny when he discovers a werewolf killing teenage runaways who are living in an abandoned building.

Eric discovers that Skorzeny's death will not cure him of the curse, when he meets Nicholas Remy, the ancient head of the werewolf line- the one who must die to cure Eric.

Eric confronts Nicholas Remy and discovers that he is more formidable an opponent than Skorzeny ever was.

Eric comes to the aid of a blind woman he meets while working at an amusement park when he learns that her fiancé plans on killing her.

Eric teams up with a homeless man who is also a werewolf in an effort to defeat Nicholas and put an end to both their curses.
