Eric Cord has a great life. His biggest concern is that his girlfriend's father (who took him in when his parents died) might found out about the relationship and not approve.

But all that changes when a creature from out of nightmare attacks him and leaves him with the curse of the werewolf.

Now, Eric must search for the werewolf who is the source of this curse. Only by killing the progenitor of the bloodline will he ever be free.

But he is also wanted for the murder of his best friend, the werewolf who attacked him. Eric must elude the bounty hunter, Rogan, who is hot on his trail. But Rogan knows what Eric has become, and his gun is loaded with sliver.

Fox changed the show's timeslot several times during its brief run, which makes it difficult to determine a standard airdate. The schedule of these changes was as follows:

Jul 1987-Aug 1987, FOX Sat 9:00-9:30
Aug 1987-Oct 1987, FOX Sat 8:00-8:30
Oct 1987-Mar 1988, FOX Sun 8:00-8:30
Apr 1988, FOX Sat 9:00-10:00
May 1988-Aug 1988, FOX Sun 10:30-11:00less «

    8.5 Great

Favorite animal is the wolf and favorite monster is the werewolf hide « show »

The pilot for this series better than some big screen werewolf movies. It was a great start for an incomplete series. The show was cancelled before getting a proper finale. Werewolf had a great cast with John York, Lance LeGault and Chuck Connors. It had high quality acting, special effects and stories. I was worried about Chuck Connors abruptly leaving the show. My concerns were well founded by the next episode that dealt with the end of Connors' character, Skorzeny. It seemed rushed and poorly put together. Its as if FOX turned its back on this series after Chuck Connors left the show just as an excuse to cancel it.

    10 Perfect

A great show that should have never been canceled. hide « show »

I have watched this show over and over and can't figure out why they would ever think of canceling it. It has a wonderful story line and great actors that add to the exitement. I love the times when they show the actual transformation of the wolf. It was underappreciated then and now. Maybe if they had fixed the filming then it would have done better. There aren't many werewolf series so this was truly a treat to see. Loved the actors, loved the story, loved the costumes, loved every episode. It should never have been taken off the air. Great show!

    8 Great

A great fantasy adventure that was cut short. hide « show »

Eric Cord plays a young man searching for an evil werewolf to kill so he can be cured after he is bitten by his roomate
who attacked him as a werewolf. Killing the evil head werewolf was the only way to rid the curse. The evil, head,
black werewolf played by the late Chuck Conners was a strong point of the show and when his character was killed off for a new lead werewolf the show went down. Chuck Conners character Skorzeny kept you glued to the screen but even the few episodes he was in did not get enough screen time. Great werewolf fights but short as Eric travels the country looking for Skorzeny and encounter other evil werewolves to kill on Skorzenys path. Also Eric is pursued by a bounty hunter for the murder of his roomate that made Eric a werewolf. Another point that may have hurt the series was that it was only 30 minutes to get the story told
but a majority of the stories were good.

    9.2 Superb

One of the best when it comes to horror on TV hide « show »

Horror on TV is nothing new but personally I don't think they came any better then ' Werewolf '. How many out there actually remember calling the 800 number given during the show to hear about the latest werewolf sightings in your area. Even to this day, I still fear driving Mission Road from Interstate 15 toward Fallbrook at night.

The only minus was the show was only 30 minutes and by the time your girlfriend was grabbing you real tight, it was over. This is a show which I think would have done better had it been 60 minutes.
