In October 2006, Wesley Snipes was accused of tax fraud, with suggestions he withheld more than $15.9 million over the past 10 years through questionable accounting practices. If found guilty, he could face up to 16 years in prison. In November 2006, it was revealed he had reached an agreement with the IRS and agreed to pay back the money in return for permission to continue to work and travel overseas.

Many people have noticed the huge similarity between Wesley Snipes and Raven from Tekken 5. Sharing the same hair-doo and clothes from 2 of Wesleys big hit films. When Electronic Gaming Monthly asked if the similarities were intentional, Namco stated no, we simply just wanted "cool black guy."
