Holly: (to Vince) Wait a minute, you don't trust me? Our whole thing is that I don't trust you!
(edit)
Val (to Charlie): Ooh, thank you! I love flowers. Are you trying to get me to fall in love with you?
Vic: Hey, buy her a bottle of tequila, she might marry you.
Val: Ha ha ha! (edit) Holly (to Tina, who invites the gang to Vermont): Well, does it have good phone reception up there? Because Vince will want to call all of his girlfriends!
Vince: Don't worry, I can always use Holly's ankle bracelet as an antenna! (edit) Tina (opening her gifts): Oh, its the shirt I wanted from the Gap!--(turns to Holly) they ran out of blue? (edit) Tina (sarcastically to Holly, Vince, and Gary, who are figting):...thanks for a great birthday (storms off)
Holly (turns to Vince): Now look what you did! (storms off)
Vince (turns to Gary): Now look what you did! (storms off)
Gary (turns to nobody without realizing it): Now look what you--(stops and realizes nobody's there) Oh, I could never be mad at you, jacuzzi! (edit)

This episode ends with Charlie telling his Grandmother (who he refers to as "Nana") that 'she' accepted 'the' diamond bracelet, and how he will give 'her' the 'ring' on Halloween. Could he be talking about how and when he wants to propose to Val?

Beverly Hills, 90210
Charlie (Jason Priestley) says to Val (Jennie Garth) "Didn't we go to high school together?" The joke was that Jason Priestley and Jennie Garth were both stars on FOX's hit drama "Beverly Hills 90210," in which Priestley's character and Garth's character both were in the same high school. He also said "Weren't you best friends with my sister?" and he also mentioned he was editor of the yearbook (all of which are references to the show). (edit)
