    Fake Danger! hide show

The gang visits a famous amusement park in this episode after a contest is won. However a mysterious creature is haunting the gang and the amusement park, sabotaging rides. It turns out to be one of the sisters running the park with a deep jealousy of her sister. My favorite parts of this episode were likely the song: Saying Goodbye by the muffs and the rides. For example, the giant glass ball Shaggy and Scooby-Doo get trapped in. Also, the giant rocket, the hang-glider and (of course) the giant fan that almost shreds the gang to bloody bits. This was an okayy episode, but I've seen better.

  • The song played during this episode's chase scene is "Saying Goodbye" performed by The Muffs. []
  • At the end, an unmasked Terry is let off the hook (except for maybe a scolding from her mother) because she supposedly made sure no one would get hurt when the rides "broke". Yet on one of the rides, Fred, Velma, and Daphne were almost killed when they fell right towards spinning fan blades. How exactly did Terry design deadly spinning blades to be "perfectly safe"??? []
  • In the end credits, Pamela Segall, (now Pamela Adlon), is listed as voicing the characters of Chris and Eddie. But exactly who was Eddie? It was most likely the angry boy who was rejected from the majority of the park rides for being too short. This boy, however, was never mentioned by name at any time during this episode. []
  • Second episode of the culprit wasn't caught by the authorities. []
  • Episode Title Pun: Roller Coaster Ride! []
  • Villain - Terry! Terry donned a green ape-like costume and purposely left clues behind in order to frame her sister Chris. Terry was jealous that she did all the work building Chris's designs and never got to build her own, plus Chris never gave her any credit or even a thank-you. Terry was hoping to take over control of the park once her sister was blamed for the "Roller Ghoster". Terry gave herself away when Velma realized that all the supposedly sabatoged rides were still safe, since it was Terry's job to build the rides and ensure their safety... []
More Notes
  • Terry: And I would've gotten away with it, too, if it weren't for you meddling kids!
Velma: Technically, you did get away with it!
Fred: You didn't do anything illegal.
    Daphne: Just rude!
Chris: I'm very disappointed in you, Terry! I'm telling Mom!
Terry: (slipping off costume and running after Chris) Let's not be hasty! Mom doesn't need to know about this! CHRIS, WAAAIIITTT!! []
  • Shaggy: (as the gang is greeted at the amusement park by two girls) When do we get to meet Chris and Terry? Those guys know how to build rides!
Chris: (rolling her eyes as Terry smiles and waves) I'm Chris! The chipper one over there is Terry!
Shaggy: Like, you guys... are girls? []
