This game is based on the British version of the same name. This game is simple, but in a hard way: Be the first to answer a question correctly, get up on stage to answer 15 more questions correctly, and you win $1 million.

But the hard parts are these: Be the first to answer a "fastest finger... more »

Legendary game show for all ages born out of the U.K.! hide « show »

The only reason I enjoyed Who Wants To Be A Millionaire was because of Regis Philbin, until he quit for reasons unknown in 2002. The original version with Philbin is much superior to the syndicated version because it's a half hour show, there's a time limit on the questions and it could have been prime time instead of day time, when kids go to school. If a time limit is needed, then hopefully this will fix the flaw: a full hour show with 1 minute questions before the first milestone level, 3 minute questions before the second milestone and finally, 5 minute questions to the big prize.

About the lifelines, I'm satisfied to hear that the Audience and Phone ones are there. The 50-50 has been replaced by the Double Dip, which grants you two shots on a question. The worst part of this lifeline is you're unable to walk away from the question, but at least it's better than 50-50 because if there are some answers that you know are not correct, the 50-50 would probably take one of those answers or both. Double Dip makes this kind of situation easier than before.

The Ask The Expert lifeline is a similarity to the Phone one. Unlike the phone, however, there are certified experts on certain subjects you can rely on. Since the suck Super Millionaire spin-off had five lifelines, this show could use a fifth as well: the Skip 'N' Win! With this, you can skip the question and win the designated target prize by completing a puzzle, whether it's easy or complicated. For example, if used, you are challenged to a game of "Lights Out" if you have heard of it before.

Now that this review has come to a close, I'm gonna finish up a screenplay about someone who wins a billion dollars!!!

Best game show ever. hide « show »

I love this game show.It is better than that stupid Nickelodeon GUTS.They ask a lot of very good questions and they do a bunch of good stuff on this show. It's a very good game show and what they do of asking questions to the contenstant is very better to what they do in some very bad game shows. The money that's worth a Million Dollars is better than what they get of the worth of money of every other game show that they make. The people who win that game will be a rich guy and a very rich one. It's a good game show.

I enjoy watching this. hide « show »

Who Wants To Be A Millionaire is one of my favorite game shows. I remember when I was younger I would guess along with the contestants. I still do it now too. I usually only get the first couple of questions right. Anyways, this game show is when contestants get asked various questions and each question they get right, the money value goes up. Eventually, if they make it, they can reach 1 million dollars. I've only seen a couple do so though. The contestants have three lifelines. Phone a friend, ask the audience and 50/50 chance. I like Regis better as a host than Meredith.

    It's brilliant and yes, it's a classic hide « show »

When you are talking with your friend about the new television game show that appeared on TV and that, in your opinion, was awful, what comes instantly to your head?
You don't need to Call a Friend to know that the right answer is Who wants to be millionaire.
And the reason that make this phenomenon happen is simply: it was best ever TV general culture show.
You can say that it is going downhill fast, what I admit is probably true, but I'm sure that you'll never forget the good times you spent watching it with your wife, your children or your friends.
As you will never forget that the U.S. President that appeared on 'Laugh-In' was Richard Nixon.

    5 Mediocre

Who Wants To Be A Millionaire is going downhill fast because its not as good as it was when it first started in 1999. hide « show »

Who Wants To Be a Millionaire was good back in 1999 when it first began but now I think its not as good becuase it is the same thing over and over again and nobody seams to win the million pouds very much. When it first beagn i'd have given it 9 out of 10 but now I give it 5 out of 10. The most enjoying bit was when Judith Kepel first won the million pounds and when somone else won it but at the moment nobody has not won it for a while I think becuase the questions get very hard.
