    I still dont understand that what was the actual purpose of his leave

    He left on his own. He got a nice contract to star in Ned & Stacy. Fox thought they could jsut have 2 talented people on and no plot and it would work. Mildly funny but no point.

    Lowell left on his on mostly. There was also some rumor he did not get along behind the scenes with Crystal Bernard.

    I, at first, didn't get why he wanted to leave the airport to go to have a court job. He was such a good airplane-fixer, and was probably the only person in Wings who was God-fearing (Remember that episode where he prayed, that's what I mean by that).
