nerve-wrecking, extremely exciting storyline; somewhat disturbing but interesting behavious of jackīs character; an ending to cry for -so to speak hide show

I have to say, I was absolutley blown away by this episode. I havenīt seen such an intriguing episode in a long time except when Samīs past was revealed.
I felt very bad for the missing reporter and I was devastated when she found out her son was in fact dead and then she was killed by a seemingly nice girl. For me it was painful that from all possible perpetrator it was the girlfriend of her son who killed her.
I am sad that she saw no other way and had no trust and faith in the reporter (whatīs her name?)or the goverment of the US who - I am sure- wouldnīt have treated her treated badly after all- at least not as badly as the guatemala goverment did.

About Jack - heīs always been willing to go to great lengths to catch a bad guy or rescue someone. We have seen that as early as in suspect and in many other cases, but this was a whole new thing.
I was shocked when he went along with this CIA- guy. Did he really believe the man would only threaten to cut sonething off Hourtagez (or what was his name?) Well whatever he thought, the moment the CIA guy began to physically tortue the man, he vehemently stopped him.
    I guess that was a wake-up moment.
I think it was especially pointless as the man really didnīt know anything else and I think you could already see that back at the headquarters.
But everybody makes mistakes and Jack is a good man even though he has a tendency to cross lines.

All in all an episode that made time fly and had an unpredictable realistic ending.
God, how much I wished they would find her alive. *sighs*

    good episode... hide show

The team investigates the disappearance of a tv reporter and it leads to the mystery of the death of her son and the illegal that lives in her house. It turns out that the illegal woman killed her and dumped her body in the water. I really liked the case in this episode. The whole torture stuff was a little disturbing and it really showed that Jack has changed. He allowed the CIA agent to torture the man, though he did eventually stop him. I wonder what's next for his character. Overall, good story and good character development so a good episode.

Jack and the team investigate the disappearance of a female televison reporter who was searching for her son who disappeared himself while doing volunteer work in Guatemala. hide show

I selected the classification "Painful to Watch" for this episode but not in a negative way. I felt that classification was appropriate because wile this episode is actually quite good, it is also, in my opinion, one of the saddest episodes of this series. The viewer really feels for the reporter who is desparately trying to find her lost son. Seeing where her story ultimately leads to will bring some emotions to the surface. Anthony LaPaglia gives what I believe is his best performace to date. This episode is well worth your time, but it's still tough to watch.

    Torture case! hide show

We all know about the Guantanamo Bay torture thing as it fits well into the Without a Trace show. We see a missing mom who goes after her son, who is also missing. Very disturbing. As it nearly also gets very graphic. The show is known for being straight on and by the book. Which I like when they aren't dealing with the agents lives. But Jack I thought, was a jerk. Sure he can be that way time to time. But he also has a lot on him. Really didn't like the way he allowed a suspect to be tortured, which should had been a big no-no! Unexcusable on his part.

Another good episode actually this time great would be the best description. The case was wonderful with a missing reporter which lead to questions about her missing son. That hide show

Another good episode actually this time great would be the best description. The case was wonderful with a missing reporter which lead to questions about her missing son. That aspect of the show was wonderful since the issue of torture came up and Lilian told a Guatamalan that she didn't have to worry about that here but the question of Guantanamo Bay instantly comes to mind. On the second note of the episode we watch as Malone slips deeper into darkness. I don't know if this is because he's angry or what but I hope we find out soon why he would allow a suspect to be tortured.
