    Another great episode. hide show

A woman named Kara and her young baby go missing during a fire alarm where a woman's self-defense class is given. Jack and team start the search beginning with her husband. The husband comes up clean and a larger list of possible suspects emerges. The father of a woman killed that blamed Kara who was in the parking lot of the community center where they went missing. He is brought in and questioned and Jack finds out that he saw Kara rolled up in a rug and put into a van. The van was a rental and was traced back to the husband. The husband comes clean and tells the team that he was protecting his wife from a man named Wyatt Brody. Jonah explains that 5 years ago he and Wyatt stole $20,000 from a Western Union and if he didn't come up with Wyatt's half of the money, Wyatt would take it out on his wife and son. He paid Wyatt off but he still wanted more and was coming after Kara and the baby anyway. This was when the plan to get her out of the area and in hiding went into play. The twist to the whole thing is they were hidden, but an old boyfriend of Kara's named Steven O'Malley, who abused her, was trying to find her as well. He was a State Police and monitored his radio all the time. When it went out that Kara was missing and were she was now, he went after her. She managed to get away but got shot in the arm. Steven O'Malley was shot and killed by the FBI.

This episode had a good twist with having someone not even related to the case as the one who did the actual kidnapping. Another great episode. Too bad the show is ending after this year.

The team investigates the mysterious disappearance of a woman and her child, in a very intense, fast and exciting episode. Thumbs up once again for Jack and his team. hide show

A woman who is involved in her local women's self defense and self-awareness group as a teacher goes missing suddenly with her infant son. While Jack and his team investigate a lot of skeletons are dug out of the closet (hence the title I assume), as the suspicion bounces from the husband to her best friend, suspected to be her boyfriend, and then her ex-boyfriend. As it turns out things are not at all what they seem, as the prime suspects that are initially presented to us (turn out not to have anything to do with harming the woman. The ones that we expect to have harmed her are in fact protecting her, and the one who is supposed to be protecting her is the real danger.

So this case is a lesson that everything isn't always black and white, situations aren't what they seem and sometimes good people just do bad things. There are some of the most intense scenes in WAT in a long time in this episode, and one of Jack's great interrogation scenes as well. Things move on very quickly and you don't have time to figure out what's going on, so suspense and interest is always there. One of the quickest and most powerful episodes lately.

Jack and the team investigate the disappearance of a woman and her three month old son from a self defense class. hide show

After a string of disappointments, it is a relief to see an episode that has all the elements that make "Without a Trace" the great show that it is. This episode has a very good script that keeps the viewer guessing right up to the exciting climax. The acting is also top notch once again. What I also liked about this episode is that you can see the dedication and determination of Jack and his team in the search for the woman and her son. That's something I have not seen in a long time. Finally, an episode worth seeing.

  • Jonah Westfield: You think I did this?
Vivian: I don't you, you tell me.
Jonah: Kara could have told a lot of people we were stopping by. Why do you think it was me?
Vivian: Because your emotions and your reactions are not consistent with this situation.
    Jonah: Meaning what?
Vivian: Meaning, Mr. Westfield, I just told you that your wife, and possible your infant son, left that building rolled in a rug and you haven't flinched. []
