Ella: Are we in trouble?
Jack Malone: Do you know how many manpower hours of the FBI that you've wasted? I had every agent in my department looking for you. What I should do is put you in my car, take you downtown and book the both of you. (pause) But I met your parents. So I get it, trust me.
Ella: They hate Alex.
Jack Malone: I can't say that I blame them. Can you?
Alex: No.
Ella: They don't even know him!
Jack Malone: And they're never going to unless you give them a shot. Look, you're starting to give me a headache okay. Just, just go home! (Jack begins to walk away)
Ella: Agent Malone. (Jack stops and turns) Can I borrow your phone? (Jack rolls him eyes and hands his phone over) (edit) Ella (on phone): Mum? No, we're okay! We got married! (edit) Ella: Why are you helping us?
Jack Malone: You remind me of somebody that I used to know.
