The Truth (1)

After not knowing Fox Mulder's whereabouts for the last year, A.D. Skinner and Agent Scully learn he's being held for the murder of a military man he couldn't possibly have killed: Knowle Rohrer, one of the government's secret super-soldiers. With Skinner acting as Mulder's defence, people who Mulder has dealt with during his last nine years as an FBI agent testify on his behalf. But the military tribunal isn't interested in the truth.

I miss Mulder and Scully. I miss Skinner and the Lone Gunmen. I miss Cigarette Smoking Man, Well Manicured Man, and Alex Krychek. I miss the tense plots, the scary monsters, and the Mulder's dry humor. I even miss the cold, wet mists of their locations. hide « show »

I watched The X-Files from the very beginning. It was amazing! Nothing like it at the time. Too bad we don't have quality shows like this anymore. Instead, we have bull**** "reality", dance, and singing shows. Great shows like The Eleventh Hour, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Invasion - just to name a few - are thrown out without a second thought. As for seasons being so short or broken in half, oh please! They were once longer than 20 episodes per season. TV rots which is why I started reading again and listen to Pandora Internet radio instead. Thanks network executives for making it so easy to leave the TV off now.

I absolutely LOVE this show =) hide « show »

Before X files (which I just got hooked into this past year) my favorite TV series was definitely Angel--which I preferred over Buffy due to its darker overtone and more in-depth plots. To me, Angel was the embodiment of good television, with its gritty themes and profound, intensive study of the human mind, conscience, and soul. It left its viewers asking questions, craving more, and ultimately contemplating the more meaningful aspects of our lives. I couldn't imagine a more stimulating series--until I watched the X files, that is! X files possesses a brilliant, engaging story that is sure to impress any science fiction fan, wonderful MOTW story plots that almost never got old, and a much more practical, thorough exploration into the essence of the good and evil that so defines the character of man. The relationship between Scully and Mulder was simply beautiful, and remained believable throughout the series. I have to admit, when I first went to watch this show, I was expecting at best a mediocre horror series involving aliens and a pair of nutty feds that did little more than chase flying saucers and little green men around in their spare time. While not every episode is gold, X files really is one of the best shows around, defined by the quality of its characters, story lines, and amazing originality.

Okay to tell the truth, I haven't actually watched all the episodes but I love what I have seen so far! Mulder and Scully rule!! I am a self-confessed shipper and I love the episodes with the whole will they-won't they. Hats off to Chris Carter! hide « show »

Well, to start with as I mentioned before I have not yet seen all the episodes. That does not stop me from being a huge X-Files fan! I have not seen much of season eight or nine but my mum told me that they are not great if you like Mulder and Scully together all the time. I guess if you like Doggett and the other girl whatever her name is... then these two seasons are your thing. I think they should have taken some episodes out of season seven and then compiled it with all the important episodes from seasons eight and nine. That would have been better. Overall, a great show. I am a shipper and like to see Mulder and Scully together and i think its really nice how she has his baby. I am a self confessed believer and I like the bits with aliens and govenment conspiracy and all the other weird and wacky stuff that the pair encounter.
I want to believe and I believe that this is a really good show!

Okay show. hide « show »

I only watched this show a few times, but I left unimpressed. For many years I have been hearing what a classic show this was, but I fail to see what those people to see. I will say that the acting was good as was the suspense. I often found myself entertained in some episodes. The big issue I have was the fact that it got old real quick and I soon tired of seeing aliens and such. Overall, this is just an okay show to me and I will say that it has its moments at certain times. Thank you.

When i was a kid i used to watch x files with my dad and brother. My dad had an idea to make us think about what we were watching. He'd have us debate(fight over)what could actually happen and what couldn't. I was surprised but i usually ended up on the positive side of the arguments. My favorite eppisode was Tunguska (My favorite character is Krycek, though you probably could;ve guessed that.) Anyway i like that some of the things could happen. It isn't truth, but it isn't obviously fiction. kudos to chris carter and the rest of the people invovled
