Episode Summary

With Omi gone to the dark side and Master Fung in an unshakeable meditative state, things look bad. They get worse when Chase Young uses the Serpent's Tail/ Reversing Mirror combo to restore Wuya to her human form, albeit without her powers. Meanwhile, the Warriors minus Omi discover that it was Chase who sent Master Fung into the Ying-Yang world, and that unless you have the Yang Yo-Yo, your good chi will be trapped there. Master Fung apparently put himself in a meditative state to keep his evil side under control, but Omi wasn't so lucky. The Warriors and Dojo, with Jack Spicer tagging along, decide to retrieve Omi and Master Fung's chi from the Ying-Yang world . . .

why must u meow omi???? why!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!? hide show

Definately the best episode I've seen of Xiaolin Showdown yet. It was very interesting, and I couldn't get my eyes off the screen.

In the previous episode, Omi joined Chase Young because he felt that he wasn't being respected enough. In result, Chase Young changed his views on his former friends, completely. He had one mission: to destroy them.

In this episode, the Xiaolin Warriors tried turning Omi back over to their side. Not only did they lose a friend, but the world turned to complete darkness.

At the end of the episode, Rai is able to defeat Omi. When Omi wakes up, he doesn't remember what happened.

However, Chase Young successfully wins Omi back after a brief battle. He does so when he uses a strange Shen Gong Wu that brings back Omi's dark memories.

The episode ends when Chase turns Omi into a cat-like creature, who now follows all of Chase's commands.

In result, Rai, Clay and Kimiko are forced to retreat, and they fly away on Dojo, as the screen fades to black.

Like I said above, this episode was fantastic. It was easily the darkest episode of Xiaolin Showdown yet. Mainly because it ended on an evil victory. All I can say is this: I can't wait to start season three!

This was my favorite episode because Master Fung is ok, Omi gets back to normal, This is the 2nd season finale and because this is xiaolin showdown (one of my favorite shows).

    8.5 Great

Omi's still on Chase's side despite his friends' labourious work to turn him back... hide show

If Omi did not respect Chase so much things would have been better. However, he seems to think he must present his good side to Chase in order to be a noble and righteous xiaolin warrior. Preposterous! After how Kimiko, Raimundo, Clay and even Jack Spicer did their best to bring Omi back on the right track, he still chose to neglect his buddies' efforts and rejoin Chase Young. Perhaps he really craves for evil. Anyway, Chase is determined not to give way either and the people fight for Omi and the good side loses, thus rendering Omi turned into a cat.

Evil Omi! AWE-SUM! Best episode of Xiaolin Showdown ever! They need to make more like this! If you don't like this, you're crazy!!! Needs just a little bit of touching up though with the Omi-Cat thing, though. Anyways, BEST EPISODE EVER!!! I really wish that Omi would stay evil though. [Just an opinion] I guess the prouducers knew what they were doing with this episode! Because I just LOVE it! Overall the episode was neat, cool, awesome, inspiring, and flat out AWESOME! Best, best, best, best episode of Xiaolin Showdown ever! [Bring Xiaolin Showdown back, or else!] [No really, I know where you live!]

Episode Cast and Crew

View All
  • How can Chase not give Wuya back to her full power? []
  • The "Heylin Ice Katana" that Omi uses when he is evil, are actually ice ilaws, instead of one blade. []
  • Although Master Fung has put himself in a meditative state, it is clearly seen that at some point of the episode, he had his eyes open. []
More Trivia
  • According to Jeff Allen (one of the creators of the show), there are a couple deleted scenes or changes during the Xiaolin Monks' confrontation with Heylin Omi:

-After they got out of the Ying-Yang World and confronts Omi, Kimiko asks how to get Omi back his chi, and Dojo replies with ice cream, while helding out strawberry ice cream.

-Kimiko uses the Manchurian Musca, and after that, Heylin Omi jumped up to both Raimundo and Clay, and we didn't see Kimiko go inside of Omi's ear. While Jack Spicer uses the Changing Chopsticks, we didn't seem him going into Omi's ear as well. But after Raimundo and Clay attacked Omi, we see both Kimiko and Jack going into Omi's left and right ear.

-After Heylin Omi attacks Clay and Raimundo was standing up, Omi turns around, and saw Raimundo walking limply, and after doing a hand sign to make Omi attack him.

-No sound effects or music playing in the background.

-When Heylin Omi was using his ultimate attack, we can only his original voice and not his harsh one. []
  • We see Wuya's ghost form in Time After Time (2) for a split second when Grand Master Dashi opens the Puzzle Box and the giant hand inside snatches her. []
  • Throughout the whole episode, instead of wearing a red robe with black cuffs and sash, Omi wears a black robe with red cuffs and sash. []
More Notes
  • Chase Young: (to Omi) You see, the Shen-Gong-Wu are mearly crutches for true power. []
  • Evil Omi: I've had enough of your chitter-chat! Bring it OFF!
    Raimundo: Bring it on.
Evil Omi: Off! On! What does it matter?! Just BRING IT! []
  • (After finding the missing piece of the scroll between Master Fung's toes)
Dojo: I guess I used it to plug that hole in Master Fung's sandals.
    Kimiko: You just found it?
Dojo: Some places, I try to avoid. []

  • When the ice claws appear on Omi's water body, it is similar Wolverine in X-men when Wolverine shows his claws. []

When Raimundo was doing the hand gesture to Evil Omi to Bring It On It is similiar to what Neo does to Agent Smith in The Matrix. []
