A young man risks his life to save that of an accident victim trapped under an overturned road tanker, then disappears quietly. One of the bystanders, a retired army officer, pesters Dunn to trace the man and see that he gets the recognition he deserves. Dunn eventually finds the reluctant hero, only to discover that he is an army deserter wanted by the Military Police!
